Information about Trimeg Granules
Trimeg sachet is a nutraceutical preparation used for various cardiovascular and liver disorders. Trimeg contains trimethylglycine (TMG) is also called as betaine, as it was discovered from beetroot.
TMG is a structurally similar to the amino acid glycine. TMG is a methyl donor which reduces homocysteine to L-methionine (cardioprotective).
The supplementation of TMG indirectly supports the methylation throughout the body, and directly supports the reduction of homocysteine. TMG also acts as an osmolyte and is shuttled in and out of a cell to affect its hydration status; increased intracellular concentrations of TMG promote cell hydration.
