CANDID B CREAM

CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat fungal infections, such as ringworm of the foot (tinea pedis or athlete’s foot), ringworm of the groin (tinea cruris or jock itch), and ringworm of the body (tinea corporis). Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin.  Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin.

CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM is composed of two medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal) and Beclometasone (steroid). Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication used to treat various fungal infections, such as vaginal yeast infections, oral thrush, and ringworm. Clotrimazole stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. It is also used to treat athlete’s foot and jock itch. Beclometasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids, which blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Beclometasone effectively treats redness and itchiness eczema (inflamed and itchy skin), psoriasis (skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches), and dermatitis (red and itchy skin).

CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM is available in the form of cream, lotion and dusting powder. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM is for topical (for skin use) only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina, rinse with cold water. CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM has common side effects as every drug does. These side effects include itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Clotrimazole, Beclometasone or any other medications. Do not put dressing or bandage on the affected area since it increases the risk of side effects. Please check with your doctor before using CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM, if you have adrenal gland problems, cataract or glaucoma, liver disease, and other skin infections. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM. If nursing mothers apply CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM to their breasts for treatment, it is advised to wash the affected area thoroughly before breastfeeding the baby.

Fungal skin infection, ringworm infections like tinea pedis or athlete’s foot, tinea cruris or jock itch, tinea corporis

Cream/Lotion: Apply a thin layer of cream or lotion with clean and dry hands on the affected areas of the skin. You can also apply CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Gently rub the medicine into the skin until it is disappeared. Dusting powder: Dust the powder on the affected area and pat it lightly on the skin. Wash your hands before and after applying CANDID B OINTMENT 10GM on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.
