Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s belongs to a class of medications called ‘Nutritional Supplements’ used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is primarily used to treat, improve, control, and prevent various complications or long term diseases. It is used to treat anaemia, respiratory illnesses, brain, and spinal cord disorders, heart diseases, kidney diseases, skin problems, hormonal disorders, and immune system problems.
Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s contains Methylcobalamin, Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate, Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Boron, Folic acid, Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Methylcobalamin, a form of vitamin B12, protects the nerves from damage and promotes blood cell’s production. Calcitriol (synthetic vitamin D) and Calcium carbonate help promote bone health and treat calcium deficiency. Boron is a mineral that helps in building strong bones and improving learning abilities, especially in children. Folic Acid is also known as folate or vitamin B9. It helps in producing blood (hemoglobin) in the body. DHA and EPA are omega-3 fatty acids (oils) which reduce excess cholesterol levels in the body, thereby keeping heart, brain and nerves healthy.
Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s is available in the form of tablets/capsules. You should take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s may cause side-effects such as nausea (feeling sick), vomiting (being sick), diarrhea, anorexia (loss of appetite), headache, weight loss, fatigue, bloating, and flatulence. These side-effects are usually mild and do not require any medical attention. However, if any of these side-effects persist or get worse, consult a doctor immediately.
Do not take Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s if you are allergic to any of its contents. Do not take Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s, if you have hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood), osteoporosis (thin and brittle bones), metastatic calcification (extra deposits of calcium in the body), kidney problems, cancer, undergone surgery, optic nerve damage, and you are not well due to high levels of vitamin D. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Before taking Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s, inform your doctor if you are undergoing hemodialysis due to kidney problems and have a stent in the heart. Cartigen Forte Tablet 10’s may alter calcium levels, so, it is recommended to monitor calcium levels regularly in the blood and urine. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice fever, increase in thirst and urination, dehydration, bedwetting, constipation, and stomach pain, as they may a sign of very high levels of calcium in your blood.
