About CEFTAS CL 200MG TABLET
CEFTAS CL 200MG TABLET belongs to a group of drugs known as ‘antibiotics’ that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It effectively treats infections of the respiratory tract (pneumonia), urinary tract, ear, nose, and throat. Additionally, it is also prescribed to treat STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick.
CEFTAS CL 200MG TABLET is a combination medicine containing: Cefixime, Cloxacillin and Lactobacillus Sporogenes used to treat bacterial infections. Cefixime works by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the outer layer (cell wall) of the bacteria and destroying the bacterial cell wall. Cloxacillin blocks the third and last stage of synthesis of bacteria’s outer layer (cell wall). Lactobacillus is used as a probiotic. It helps balance the number of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract (gut) to manage water loss (diarrhoea) due to antibiotics or infections.
