About Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml

Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml belongs to the class of medicine called ‘corticosteroids’ used to reduce inflammation in various conditions, including respiratory diseases like asthma and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder). An allergic condition is an immune system response to a foreign substance (allergens) that is not typically harmful to your body which includes certain foods, pollen, or pet dander.

Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml contains ‘Budesonide’ that works by blocking various chemical messengers that are involved in allergic- and non-allergic-mediated inflammation. Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml decreases inflammation and irritation in the airways and making it easier to breathe. It treats various respiratory disease conditions including allergic rhinitis (allergy symptoms with itchy/watery eyes and stuffy nose), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (lung disease), asthma chest tightness, wheezing, and coughing caused by asthma.

Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml is available in the form of oral extended (delayed) release tablets and capsules, suspension solution and powder for oral inhalation, over the counter spray for nasal application, and foam, enema, and suppositories for rectal administration. Some may experience common side effects like soreness and/or irritation in the mouth (including oral thrush), a mild sore throat, coughing or a hoarse voice, pneumonia (infection of the lung) in COPD patients. These side effects generally do not require medical attention and may go away during treatment.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml or any other components in inhalation powder or nebulizer solution. Do not use Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml during an asthma attack. Your doctor may prescribe short-acting inhaler to use during an asthma attack. Seek medical advice if you have or ever had osteoporosis (a condition where the bones become thin, weak, and break easily), pulmonary tuberculosis (lung infection), liver disease, asthma, and arthritis. Also, inform your doctor if you have any bacteria, virus, or fungal infections in your mouth, airways, or lungs. Diseases like cataracts (a condition where the lens of the eye becomes cloudy), glaucoma (an eye disease that damages the optic nerve) or high pressure in the eye, or eczema (a skin disease) also require medical attention before prescribing Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml. It is better to inform your doctor if you are undergoing any surgery, including dental surgery, before taking Budecort 0.5mg Respules 5x2ml.
